Frequencies for people—anytime, anywhere and interference-free
To secure radio spectra for the cultural and creative industries, the BDKV supports the initiative “SOS – Save Our Spectrum“. This partner collects and supplies information for decision-makers in politics and administration, the media and the public to illustrate the threat that awarding frequencies to mobile communications poses to, among other things, live music events.
Under the title “Digital Dividend 2” in 2015, the frequency bands in the areas around 900,
1,500 and 1,800 MHz were auctioned off. There is currently no replacement, which means that users such as actors, sports reporters, correspondents, show masters and technicians may come away empty-handed.
